Get the inside out review on Ford Ikon, Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo Manza.

You’ll be impressed by Ford Icon’s driver-centric cabin. The driving position is fantastic and the meaty steering wheel feels good to hold. The seats are comfortable, even if slightly hard.

The Mahindra-Renault Logan is a relatively new car, but the boxy design makes it look older than it is. The interior styling is just as boring as the exterior. But the beige-finished cabin is spacious, comfortable and solidly built.

The Maruti Swift Dzire’s interiors are finished in a dark grey shade that lends it a sporty touch. The soft seats are the most comfortable here and the driver gets the necessary adjustments.

The Indigo Manza is the biggest and newest car here. Open the door and you’ll see a wide cabin. The dials, though small, look exquisite especially at night.

The Ikon now makes 67 bhp and 16.31 kgm of torque, and the new gearbox boosts performance.

The Logan also is conservative on power output and puts out 65 bhp and 16.3 kgm of torque.

The Dzire’s 1.3-litre Multijet puts out 75 bhp and 19 kgm of torque. The engine is the best here, only it suffers from turbo-lag.

The Manza, also powered by a Multijet engine, develops 89 bhp and 20.4 kgm of torque. Power comes in at 2000 rpm, beyond which the Manza is quick.

The Ikon’s steering is sharp, accurate and provides good feedback. It has good highway manners and brakes inspire you to push the Ikon to the limit.

The Logan absorbs bumps with ease and is better at lower speeds.

The Dzire’s suspension is tuned to provide a pliant ride.

The Manza, though doesn’t have a great handling, but provides a good ride.
