As the name suggests, the Alto RS Turbo is the performance version of the Alto. Suzuki is targeting the Japanese market with this turbocharged version of the Kei car model, which is scheduled to make its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2015.
The Alto RS Turbo gets powered by a 660cc petrol engine although its power output is yet to be confirmed. In comparison, the standard Suzuki Alto gets a naturally-aspirated 660cc engine that produces either 48bhp or 51bhp.
Apart from the mechanical upgrade, it gets cosmetic enhancements like racing decals, 17-inch alloy wheels, generous chrome garnishing, Recaro seats and ‘RS’ stickers. To boost the car's sporty appeal, the bumper-lip, decals and wing mirrors are finished in the same colour as the alloys.
This is not the first Alto RS Turbo and there have been a few versions earlier but all have been restricted to the Japanese car market.
