After roping in Barcelona star footballer Lionel Messi as its brand ambassador to woo the young generation of car buyers, Tata’s new commercial teases for us its upcoming small hatchback Kite.
Firstly, we must say Tatas have finally come up with a better storyline for its TVC this time that shows more than just the car. The ad shows Messi’s journey from being a kid among tall footballers to scoring a goal in present day in a Tata-jersey.
Revealing only the tail-lamps, sidelines and the front grille, the commercial ends with the new tagline ‘#madeofgreat’ leaving us wanting for more.
While the technical specifications of the Kite are still under the hood, Tata is likely to retain its new Revotron petrol engine, that brought success to the compact sedan Zest and its uber hatch back Bolt. Also you can expect a new 1.05 litre 3-cylinder diesel mill churn out a maximum power output of 64bhp and 140Nm of peak torque.
Kite is likely to fill the gap between Tata’s entry level Nano and the full size hatch Indica, to take on the rivals like Grandi10 and Maruti Celerio. Rivals models from Renault, Nissan, Chevrolet and Datsun will also be put to test against this one, which will be coming out of the shades in January 2016.
