Motorcycle maker Yamaha India on Tuesday unveiled two of its flagship models — the Super Sports YZF-R1 and the Torque Sports MT01.
Both bikes would be brought into India as completely-built-units and sport price tags of Rs 10.50 lakh, making them the most expensive offerings for Indian customers. The company is initially offering these bikes in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
“The launch projects our future in India and how our future business looks like in India. We want to re-establish ourselves as a company which delivers high quality and high performance products,” Yamaha Motor India CEO and managing director Tomotaka Ishikawa said.
The Japanese motorcycle maker, which has been struggling in India, of late, hopes to make inroads here.
