The police have claimed to attest two most wanted members of that interstate criminal gang with .9 mm pistol near Chrik village in district Moga on Friday.
Surjit Singh Grewal, senior superintendent of police, Moga, told that the arrested persons were identified as Rupinder Singh "Pinder" of Canal Colony of Sri Muktsar Sahib and Gurmeet Singh of Daudhar in district Moga.
"The police had received secret information that both accused were the member of Rocky Gang of Ambala and they were close friends of Rocky who was the chief of vehicle lifters, drug smugglers and robbers in the Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi and other states of the country," said SSP.
"I had constituted a special investigation team under the supervision of of the Harinder Singh, in-charge of CIA staff, behalf of the information the police party put barricade near Chirk village and nabbed the both culprits. Both accused were riding at the same motorcycle," he added.
During the investigation the both accused have confessed that they were wanted to free their 'boss' Rocky from the police custody.
"When a police party was rushing Rocky to the court of additional session judge, Suikhwinder Kaur from Bikaner to Moga, Rupinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh had made up a conspiracy to free their boss. Both accused had put some drug in the tea of four police officials, who were rushing Roky to court, when the policemen had gone to unconscious situation, Gurmeet Singh freed Rocky to police custody," said SSP.
A case has been registered against Rupinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh under Sections 25-54-59 of Arms Act at south city police station.
