Presence of stray cattle, encroachment and installation of electric poles on roads have become a cause of concern for the residents of Jalalabad, the home assembly segment of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal, in Fazilka district.

While stray cattle, abandoned by their owners when they stopped giving milk, cause numerous accidents and traffic jams, besides creating disturbances in the markets, no measures have been taken to resolve this problem till date.

Besides, electric poles have been installed on almost all city roads, and many banks have set up generator sets on the roadside, hindering smooth flow of traffic and leading to scarcity of parking space.
