The question is what is being done to ensure that our country is safer andhttp://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/BeantKaur_compressed.jpg such instances are never reported. The solution is inculcation of moral values and teenage, to perhaps help change people's mindset and attitude towards women. There is no easy way out and even death penalty is not a sufficient deterrent.

The most direct way to attack this problem is cut the supply of drugs to the state's youth. There is a direct link between drug consumption and http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Jaisika_compressed.jpgsexual harassment cases as young men lose sanity after consumption of drugs.

Men who respect their own sister and mother cannot disrespect any girl. However, family values and upbringing have a direct bearing on this crime, perhhttp://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Nitika_compressed.jpgaps more than other crime. Parents who take an interest in their ward's life are likely to see their boy go astray and indulge in cases of sexual harassment.

Men cannot be blamed all the time. Girls also provoke them and later start a blame game. Girls also need to dress up as per environment. There is no need http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Sheenam_compressed.jpgto change completely, but women also must adapt as per the environment without compromising on their freedom.

Young men think it is just good time-pass to comment or harass women. Unemployment is a big reason for this. Their energy needs to be better channelizhttp://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Davi Sidhu_compressed.jpged and jobs must be arranged so that they are not rendered directionless.

In Bathinda, increasing migration is perhaps a factor that leads to such incidents. Local youngsters think twice before they get indulge in any crime,  as thttp://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Deepinder Kaur_compressed.jpghey know their parents will come to know and fear social rejection and stigma. Bathinda's emergence as a education hub is a double-edged sword, as usually migrant students are the one who take to eve-teasing.

Availability of liquor to students needs to be checked to ensure that such cases do not occur. To check such incidents, we need to start at the most basic stage of life. School children should be taught respect for women and sensitized about http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/11/Neha Rani_compressed.jpggender issues for a long-term solution to the issue. This can work wonders.
