The Annual Hostel Meet, organised by Delhi University’s Hindu College on Saturday, was attended by several ex-students. And, many among them were popular personalities from film and TV space.

The meet was held in the boys hostel. Though big ticket filmmakers — Imtiaz Ali, Abhishek Chaubey and Vishal Bhardwaj, who attended the meet last year, were absent this year, there were many other celebrities who were present at the meet and spent the night at the hostel.

“This is the place where I started out as an immature playwright. I miss those days,” said Ritesh Shah, writer of Vidya Balan-starrer, Kahaani.

Also present was actor Rajesh Kumar, who is most remembered for his TV sitcom, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. “I came for the meet last year also. I used to love playing pranks in college. Since it was a boys hostel, girls were not allowed. But once I told my dad that I can get a girl in my room on Valentines Day. I had locked the room that day, and when dad came to the hostel, he actually thought I had smuggled a girl in my room!” he said.

Apart from the usual get-together, the meet also had a sufi performance by Qadri Brothers.
