22-year-old from UP dies in Bhopal while loading tractors in trailer truck

A youth died while loading tractors in a trailer (truck) to be transported on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at a godown of a private tractor company located near Misrod on Hoshangabad road.

The youth, Asif Khan (22), a resident of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh, worked as a driver with a private transport company here. According to information, Khan was loading tractors on the upper deck in a two-floor loading truck.

When he went to inside the truck to adjust the gap between two floors of the truck, the upper floor of the truck collapsed on Khan. He came under a tractor and sustained severe injuries.

Khan was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. On getting information, Misrod police rushed to the spot and registered a case after preliminary investigation.

Town inspector (TI), Misrod police station, "The preliminary investigation suggests that it was negligence of the deceased. He should have followed safety measures before adjusting the floors of the truck. The investigation is still on to find out the exact reason of the accident."

According to police, the family members of the deceased have been informed and the body has been kept at a mortuary.
