The MP government on Monday informed the Assembly that 80 people have been arrested in various cases registered in the multi-layered recruitment scams of MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).
In a written reply to a question raised by Ramniwas Rawat, home minister Babulal Gaur said 50 people are yet to be arrested. He said after July 1, 2014, a total of 23 cases have been registered.
In his question, Rawat sought to know if any tout had been arrested and whether cash seizures were made from them too.
Home minister Gaur replied saying that a total of 14 touts had been arrested and 15 more touts are still at large.
He said Rs 95,000 has been seized from Kapil Rawat, a tout in Jaura in Morena district and Rs 8,000 seized from Pradip Singh Rawat, a tout in Kailaras in Morena district.
A total of 595 people are yet to be arrested in connection with cases registered in crimes prior to July 1, 2014.
