PMT scam

One of Madhya Pradesh’s additional advocate generals, MPS Raghuvanshi, resigned from his post on Friday.

Raghuvanshi was accused by Pre-medical Test (PMT) scam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi of shielding some of the accused MBBS students from rustication and charge-sheeted and he, later, charged that Raghuvanshi threatened to get him killed in his chamber.

In his application to sessions court during the hearing a few days back seeking protection of life, Ashish Chaturvedi had named Raghuvanshi as one of the persons from whom he felt threat to his life.

After putting in papers, Raghuvanshi, who is based out of Gwalior, denied his resignation has anything to do with any controversy related to PEB scam and said he had resigned for 'personal' reasons.

When asked about the timing of his resignation, Raghuvanshi said that he had resigned a day ahead of summer vacation beginning in courts so that there was no effect of his resignation on court working.
