Asha Singh cremated in Raghogarh

The mortal remains of AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh's wife Asha Singh who died of cancer on Wednesday in Delhi were consigned to flames at Raghogarh, more than 150 kilometers North West of Bhopal, today.

The mortal remains of AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh's wife Asha Singh who died of cancer on Wednesday in Delhi were consigned to flames at Raghogarh, more than 150 kilometers North West of Bhopal, on Friday.

The funeral pyre was lit by Digvijaya Singh's son Jaiwardhan Singh in the afternoon.

A large number of people from various sections of society and various parts of Madhya Pradesh and outside were present to pay tributes to the departed soul.

Those present include governor Madhya Pradesh Ram Naresh Yadav, union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and many Congress leaders from Madhya Pradesh and other states.

Earlier, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar, former chief minister Sunderlal Patwa paid condolence to the departed
soul while visiting Digvijaya Singh's Raghogarh residence.
