The man who was found murdered near Misrod last week was killed by two youths who were upset with him because of his constant bragging about his illicit relations with a woman relative of the duo, said the police on Wednesday.

The police said that two youths--Santosh Tomar, 20, and Rahul Tomar, 22, had killed Narmada Prasad, 26, whose body was found under Kalia Sot bridge near Misord. The duo had overpowered him, then attacked him with a knife on the face and his back, before they crushed his head with a stone, said police. The two youths have been arrested.

Addressing a press conference, Superintendent of police (SP), Bhopal South, Anshuman Singh said that during investigation it was found that Prasad had bragged about his illicit relations with a woman in front of the duo.

The woman is related to the accused--she is aunt of one of them, and sister-in-law of the other.

"During a drinking session with them at Rahul's house, he talked about his relations with her. Later, they again had a drinking session near Kalia Sot river, where he again talked about his relations. This angered the duo who attacked him and after killng him, dumped the body", said Singh.

The body was dumped under the bridge so that it couldn't be found easily. Local residents had found the body and informed the police. The incident had occurred on May 6. Two days after the murder, the body was found. Police said that a slip with the name of one, Akash Lodhi and his cell phone number, was recovered from his pocket.

Subsequently, the police spoke to Lodhi and managed to ascertain the identity of Narmada Prasad, 26, who worked at a factory in Mandideep township, nearly 28 km from Bhopal.

Tomar was close to the family that lives in his neighbourhood. In fact, the particularly family had helped him in getting rented house in Mandideep.

As a result, he got friendly with her family members too. Police said that he had lately got into illicit relations with a woman in the family.

On the particular day, Prasad went to Hoshangabad, along with the woman's kin--Rahul and Santosh. On way back, they stopped at Budhni and after reaching Rahul's home, they later went to Kalia Sot river, where they had liquor.

"The duo felt humiliated because of his openly talking about his sexual exploits with her repeatedly, as one of them is her nephw and another is her brother-in-law. She is a married woman and yet he talked about his illicit relations and also plan to elope with her", said a policemen who was part of the investigation.

During interrogation, police had found that Prasad had last gone with Rahul and Santosh. They were quizzed and the entire turn of events was revealed. The duo had concealed the body under the garbage and pushed it in the bushes. The police on Friday charged the duo for murder and arrested them.
