IAS officers association did not miss a non-official event to promote government’s dream plan of promoting and planning smart cities.
A presentation and panel discussion on smart city was held at IAS service meet on Friday.
The three-day IAS service meet was inaugurated by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Academy of Administration on Friday.
After inaugural ceremony, a panel discussion on ‘Smart Cities-Way forward’ was held, during which a presentation by panel of experts was also made to apprise their fraternity of the smart city concept.
Chief secretary Anthony de Sa in his address said Madhya Pradesh cadre of Indian Administrative Service has a unique identity in the country, while as president of IAS association BP Singh delivered the welcome address.
The programme was conducted by association’s secretary Nitish Vyas and vice-president Sanjay Shukla proposed a vote of thanks.
Various cultural programmes and sports activities will be held during three-day meet. These include a fashion show, cookery competition, water sports and a limited over cricket match, besides a tug of war and other party and fun games.
Chief minister Chouhan hosted dinner for the association members on the first day.
