The riot-hit community members of Aman Colony, in Karond area, who were attacked on December 11 last and whose houses were burnt by a mob, have decided to lodge their protest in Delhi and demand a CBI inquiry if the state government doesn't rehabilitate them. They have also sought adequate security for them.
Speaking at a press conference on Irani Imambada premises, convener of a social organisation Pawan Tiwari said the state government has failed to provide relief to the families who were victims of the attack.
Demanding action under National Security Act against the accused, he alleged the role of the state government and the administration has been dubious in the episode. Bhopal police are trying to shield the rioters. The Sections of IPC concerning serious offences have not been imposed on them, said Tiwari.
He said the victims of the riot were forced to live under open sky in the winter season. None of the government or the political parties representatives met the victims so far, said Tiwari.
He said they would submit memorandum to the President, the Prime Minister, governor and chief minister of Madhya Pradesh besides the human rights commissions.
