The police will interrogate Oriental College’s first year student Rohit Sharma who was allegedly beaten up and attacked with a cutter as part of ragging by a group of senior students on August 27.
According to the college administration, Rohit Sharma had not come to the college on August 27. He was also not seen in the CCTV footages of the college.
Police had seized the CCTV footages on Tuesday and now they would interrogate Rohit on the basis of the CCTV recordings.
Town inspector of Bilkhiriya police station, T Sapre said, "The case is not easy. According to college’s documents and teachers’ statements, Rohit didn’t attend the college on August 27. However, Rohit said he reached the college at 9 am and the incident occurred outside the canteen around 1pm."
TI said they would show CCTV footage and quiz him on that basis to know the truth. Sapre said, "I had a talk with Rohit’s father Darshanlal Sharma and he is ready to support us."
