BJP tries to mislead people to retain power: Diggy

bhopal Updated: Oct 04, 2012 17:03 IST

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Thursday alleged that the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh is once again misleading people to come to power after next year's assembly elections.

Singh -- who could not attend the Madhya Pradesh Congress- sponsored chief minister's residence gherao programme in Bhopal on Thursday due to his foreign trip -- send a message to state Congress President Kantilal Bhuria. In his message, ingh extended support towards the agitation.

Targeting the BJP, the former chief minister said the state regime is misusing the central funds for electoral purpose and rampant corruption is going on in the name of development. The state regime crossed the limit of corruption, mismanagement and failure during its nine-year-old tenure, he alleged.

"The gherao programme is an important one as far as the state and the Congress are concerned. It will help the party to come to power once again," Singh said.
