The country is moving towards Emergency and the action to block some social media accounts is a matter of concern and an attempt by the UPA government to divert attention from its scams specially recent coalgate scam. State BJP president Prabhat Jha said this while addressing a press conference here on Saturday during party's three-day training session at the Engineering College.
He said it clearly violates people's constitutional right of expression. The need is to formulate necessary norms and maintain tight vigil to block anti-national content. Our party will oppose curtailment of the right to expression on various platforms including floor of House, he said.
While replying to queries on Assam riots, he said some social media sites could be held responsible but what the intelligence agencies were doing is not understandable. About Kejriwal criticizing the party, he said he has lost relevance and no one has faith in him.
On question regarding Digvijaya Singh's comments on RSS, he said that he wouldn't comment on Digvijaya as it would only soil his image. On question of BJP government promise of providing 24-hour electricity supply from next year in the entire state, he said the CM would certainly fulfill the promise.
Replying to a question, he said that Bhai (Kailash Vijayvargiya) and Tai (Sumitra Mahajan) controversy is a normal thing and it was hyped by the media. On Babulal Gaur, he said that he is a non-serious minister.
