Buddhists in Bhopal protest over blast

Various Buddhist organisations from Bhopal have condemned and protested against the attack on Bodh Gaya temple.

In a release, the Buddhabhoomi Dhammadoot Sangha said the Intelligence Bureau had issued an alert to the state government of Bihar.

But neither the Centre nor the state took any step to provide appropriate security arrangements at this site of international importance, the body claimed.

The sangha demanded legal action against people responsible to provide protection to the site.

Bhante Shakyaputra Sagar of Sangha also urged that the officers responsible for security lapse should be terminated from their service and put behind bars.

MP wing of Republican Party of India has also condemned the attack at Bodhgaya.

National general secretary of RPI, Dr Mohanlal Patil, demanded concerned authorities to arrest the perpetrators of crime or else Buddhist from all over the nation would protest intensely.
