Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who was recently praised by senior BJP leader LK Advani as a better CM than his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi lost no time in eulogizing the latter after his nomination as the BJP election committee chairman during the party’s national executive committee meet at Goa on Sunday.
“Modi ji is an able administrator, strong organization leader, under his stewardship BJP has made a hatric (sic) in Gujarat. This decision shall not only benefit BJP but shall also benefit the country as a whole”, tweeted Chouhan on micro blogging social networking website Twitter.
While congratulating Modi, Chouhan said, “We shall collectively ensure BJP’s victory.”
Perhaps well aware of the consternation in Modi camp caused by Advani’s words of praise for him rather comparison between the two during the state BJP meet on June 1 at Gwalior Chouhan added, “Development of Gujarat and victories for the party prove Modi ji’s capacity as an administrator and unparalleled poll manager.”
Notably, after the controversy over Advani’s praise for him and the party national president Rajnath Singh’s clarification in this regard Chouhan tried to steer clear of the controversy saying that he was at no. 3 position among the BJP CMs after Narendra Modi and Raman Singh.
