Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh on Sunday demanded resignation of the chief minister for getting CD relating to Raghavji from Habibganj police station and watching it before asking the finance minister to resign.

Addressing a press conference at his official bungalow, Singh said the CD deposited at the police station going to CM and the latter viewing its contents before deciding to ask Raghavji to resign was very much a situation like former Union law minister Ashwini Kumar getting a copy of CBI report on coal scam and seeing it.

Ashwini Kumar had resigned then and CM should do it now.

Singh further argued that any matter presented to police as an evidence can’t be seen by anyone but the court, and chief minister had violated law by watching the CD, which Raghavji’s domestic help provided to police as evidence.

Later in a press note, Ajay Singh said that FIR against Raghavji was registered only after chief minister okayed it following BJP state president Narendra Tomar’s announcement to expel Raghavji from the party.

Singh said that FIR could be lodged after six hours and that, too, after chief minister gave a go ahead to police, and when this was the situation in Bhopal, circumstances in other parts of the state could be imagined.
