BJP spokesperson Vijendra Sisodia has accused the Congress party of disrespecting former prime minister late Indira Gandhi and has blamed the state Congress leadership for not ensuring the inaugurating a bust of the former PM near 5 Number Bus Stop.

In a release, Sisodia said that a bust of Indira Gandhi has been awaiting inauguration for many months. The bust is not being attended to which is damaging it. He has termed this as a grave sign of disrespect by the Congress party to a former prime minister and to women in general.

Sisodia said that the Congress president or vice-president being unable to find time for the inauguration of the bust is like rubbing salt in the wounds of the people of the country. This shows opportunism by Congress leaders.

Sisodia further said that the Congress should approach the state government for help in this regard. He said that the BJP and the state government are committed to respecting Indira Gandhi and it is sad that the Congress party has shown disrespect to the former prime minister.
