Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attacked the Congress here on Thursday saying the Congress was planning to hit hard the poor by trying to remove BJP government.

“Jan kalyankari aur vikas ke karya karne wali BJP sarkar ko badal kar Congress garibon ka khoon choosne ki yojna bana rahi hai (Congress is planning to suck the poor’s blood by trying to remove the BJP government which is working for public welfare and development of the state),” he said.

Chouhan was addressing BJP workers who assembled at the CM house to felicitate him for the government’s public welfare policies.

Taking a dig at the Congress for its Parivartan Yatra and referring to the Congress rule under Digvijay Singh without naming him, he asked if the Congress took out its yatra to push back the state to a situation when there was miserable road condition.

There was darkness as there was no power.

The state was sick and the ration was Rs 12 to Rs 15 per kg.

Chouhan further said if the Congress wanted to bring back the situation of the poor dying without treatment due to paucity of money.

He said during the BJP rule the poor had one month ration for the wage of just one day. Power supply was available for 24 hours.

State sickness fund ensured that nobody should die due to want of treatment. The BJP government was working for a poverty and unemployment free state.

The BJP workers appreciated the CM’s decision to waive the power bills and provide highly subsidised ration to the poor among others.

Felicitating the chief minister, the state BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar said the personality of Chouhan was as such that there was no difference between his practice and preaching.
