While former finance minister Raghavji was arrested soon after he was booked for sodomy and has spent over a month in jail, the two co-accused in this case Sher Singh Chauhan and Suresh Singh remain at large.

In his complaint to police, the victim had said the duo had also sexually exploited him.

However, the police have so far failed to arrest them.

Sher Singh is an old employee at Raghavji’s residence, while Suresh Singh is his relative.

The complainant, a 29-yearold man, had lodged an FIR at the Habibganj police station, alleging that Raghavji sexually exploited him for almost three years.

In the FIR, he also mentioned that after Sher Singh and Suresh came to know about the sexual abuse, they also blackmailed him and began sodomizing him.

The police had booked Raghavji, and the two persons, Sher Singh Chauhan and Suresh Singh, for the same crime.

However, while the police teams had conducted search operations and raided over halfadozen places, before finally catching Raghavji, the two other accused remained absconding.

Superintendent of police (SP), Bhopal South, Anshuman Singh, said that efforts are on to catch the absconders.

“The police teams have gone to different places in search of the duo and hopefully they will be caught soon,” Singh said.

Raghavji has been lodged in Central Jail, ever since his arrest.

On Monday, the high court granted him bail but he couldn’t be released as the order couldn’t reach the jail authorities.

There is no clue yet about the whereabouts of the two co accused till now.
