The MP High Court served a notice on Thursday to the Special Task Force (STF) carrying probe into the leak of two question papers of state civil services main examination, 2012 conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC).
The court issued the notice during the hearing of a petition demanding that the MPPSC conduct the pending interviews of the state civil services examination, 2012 early.
The petitioners had filed an application seeking inclusion of the Special Task Force (STF) as respondent in the case.
The application was made after the MPPSC in reply to a notice related to the petition stated that the interviews for the state civil services could not be held as the STF was conducting probe into leakage of Hindi and General Knowledge papers in the written examination, the petitioner’s’ counsel Rajesh Chand said.
The STF during the course of investigation of paper-leak case of Ayurvedic Medical Officer Examination, 2013 (also conducted by MPPSC) had learnt from the accused that they also leaked Hindi and GK question papers of civil services exam to some candidates, the MPPSC said.
The STF registered first FIR on July 21, 2014 and second FIR on December 6, 2014 into the papers leak case of the MPPSC and arrested some candidates.
Two aspirants Naveen Bawariya and Devendra Kumar Patel filed the petition seeking direction of the court to the MPPSC to conduct interviews of the State Civil Services, 2012.
The result of main examination of civil services exam was declared in October, 2013 and the interviews were scheduled to be held on July 30, 2014.
