Extending festival greetings on Easter to people of Madhya Pradesh, Archbishop Leo Cornelio said Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “Because of resurrection of Christ, the Christianity came to exist”, he said.

Cornelio said that when they offer help by giving food, shelter and clothing to the needy, politicians label it as conversion.

The Archbishop said Easter Mahotsav will be organized in BSSS College campus Habibganj from April 3. There will be different religious and entertainment programmes for both children and adults.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio said the news of Mother Teresa being declared saint by Pope Francis was a matter of celebration. He added that he was influenced by her loving and humble nature, when he worked with her.

He condemned the terrorist attack in Belgium, saying, “These types of terror spreading people have no religion, they are acting against the will of God, and they are doing great sin against the humanity. We should pray for them, so that they realize the true meaning of life”
