According to police, Abhi along with his elder brother Aman Dubey, 13, was taking selfie at a canal which is situated in front of their house.

Abhi accidentally lost his balance and fell into the canal. Aman immediately jumped into the water to rescue Abhi. Later, their father rushed to save them but he got drowned.

Sub inspector (SI) Nathu Singh Randha said that Sanjay Dubey, who was standing in front of his house, saw his sons falling into the canal and he also jumped into the canal to save them but he lost his life.
