Five employees of district hospital, Sehore were suspended and a show cause notice served on the doctor on duty when family members of Komal Bai, wife of slain CRPF personnel Omprakash Mardania, apprised the district collector of the hospital staff's misbehaviour with them.

Mardania was killed in the militant attack in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Komal was taken ill and her condition deteriorated when she came to know about death of her husband.

Sehore is 35 kilometers south west of Bhopal. Cremation of the martyr will take place on Friday.

She was taken to district hospital at Sehore, about 40kms from her village Shahpura in Ichhawar tehsil, in the wee hours on Thursday. The employees on duty attended her casually, put her in a general ward and did not intimate the district administration about her admission in the hospital.

The doctor on duty prescribed some medicines which were not available in the hospital. The patient relatives moved from one market to another to get the medicines.

As per government rules, a doctor of the government hospital cannot prescribe such medicines which are not available in the hospital stock.

Sehore collector Kavindra Kiyawat came to know about Komal Bai's hospitalisation at about noon and he immediately visited the hospital. Once at the hospital, he ordered her shifting to a private ward and adequate treatment to her.

Talking to media persons Kiyawat said, "Adequate facility is being provided to the martyr's wife. Those who indulged in dereliction of duty have been suspended."
