The minor hotel staffer, who was booked on charges of molestation for allegedly touching an actress inappropriately, was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Saturday, which sent him to an observation home.
Town inspector of MP Nagar police station Brajesh Bhargava said the minor was produced before the juvenile justice board which sent him to the observation home till the completion of investigation.
He said that the accused had told the police that he had found the door of the actor’s room ajar on Friday night and had tried to wake her up.
Meanwhile, the aspiring actor told Hindustan Times that she will check out of the MP Nagar hotel, where she was staying for the last few days, but remain in Bhopal for the shooting for her maiden Bollywood venture.
The actress, who has done four Telugu movies so far, was staying at room number 602 of Hotel Amar Vilas for the past 11 days.
“I am checking out of this hotel soon. After the incident, my hotel room remained open and today (Saturday) when I came back, I found a liquor bottle under the bed, which was not there earlier.
“I will complain against the hotel management to the police and women’s commission,” she said.
Private sector employee, Naresh Jaluka, who is also staying at the same hotel, told reporters that the hotel management showed no interest to call the police after the incident so he had called the police.
“I felt the boy’s behaviour was suspicious, as he had pressed (the) doorbell of her room,” he said.
Hotel manager Abdul Jameel, however, said the hotel was being defamed.
“We are going to submit the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage to the police and it will show that we were not at fault,” he said.
