Jewellery worth Rs 9 lakh found in power company official's bank locker
The Special Police Establishment of Lokayukta opened a bank locker of additional general manager of Power Distribution Company, central region and found jewellery worth approximately Rs 9 lakh.
The Special Police Establishment (SPE) of Lokayukta, opened a bank locker of additional general manager of Power Distribution Company, central region, Pradeep Choudhary and recovered jewellery worth Rs 9 lakh.
SPE superintendent of police Siddharth Choudhary said, "An SPE team opened the bank locker of the AGM at Punjab and Sindh Bank, Bittan Market branch here. The team found jewellery worth approximately Rs 9 lakh in the locker. The investigation is still on and there is a possibility of revelation of more assets disproportionate to his income as scrutiny of his 25 bank accounts is yet to be done."
Notably, an SPE team raided the house of AGM Choudhary on Saturday and recovered documents showing Choudhary owns 10 times more properties than his known sources of income.
He owns a bungalow in Saket Nagar, six flats and three shops at Sarvadharma Colony on Kolar Road, a plot in Bawadiaya Kalan, all in Bhopal, 30 acre agricultural land in Raisen district, 25 bank accounts including fixed deposits (FDs), several insurance policies and two four-wheelers.
