Law student commits suicide on Bhopal Rly tracks

The body of a second year law graduate, who allegedly committed suicide, was found near the railway tracks, police said.

The body of a second year law graduate, who allegedly committed suicide, was found near the railway tracks, police said on Monday.

Neha Rao (19), pursuing law from the prestigeous National Law Institute University (NLIU) went for a morning walk from her Gurunanakpura residence in the early hours yesterday but failed to return home, they said.

Later some passer-by informed police about a body of a female lying near the railway track, following which she was identified through the ID card in her purse, police said.

Neha was a hostelier and had taken permission from the authorities to visit her family members, they said adding the reason behind the extreme step is not yet known.
