Five people including the son of a Maharashtra minister were arrested in Hoshangabad yesterday for allegedly assaulting the staff at a toll tax plaza and beating up a forest official recently.
Five people including the son of a Maharashtra minister were arrested in Hoshangabad on Thursday for allegedly assaulting the staff at a toll tax plaza and beating up a forest official recently.
Kunal Raut, 25, son of Maharashtra minister Nitin Raut, was arrested for thrashing the employees at the toll plaza at Denva river. Raut and his four companions were caught when they were travelling in a car.
Police sources said they had beaten up the toll plaza employees and a forest official after an argument when they were on their way to Pachmarhi. The incident had occurred on the night intervening Tuesday and Wednesday. However, on their way back, the car was again spotted and the police were informed. The five car-borne people were caught.
