A Bhopal-based organisation will organise a marathon on November 30 in a bid to motivate people to quit smoking.

"Like Bhopal collector Nishant Warwade, who quit smoking by running, a 48-year-old lady, Kripa Sagar, has been able to quit her habit of smoking by taking to running," said Kunal Jain, a representative of Bhopal Masonic Fraternity. It will be a full marathon covering a distance of 42.195 km.

"Entry is not open for all and youths will primarily be motivated to join the race," Jain said.

The marathon will commence from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (Manit) and pass through Van Vihar, Upper Lake View Road, Vidhan Sabha, MP Nagar, BHEL Senior Club and conclude at Shahpura Lake in Bhopal. Manit director Appu Kuttan and Bhopal collector Nishant Warwade will flag off the run, the organisers said.
