A CBI team led by DIG Hemant Priyadarshi visited the residence of RTI activist Shehla Masood in Old Bhopal’s Koh-e-Fiza locality on Monday and recreated the sequence of events that led to her murder on August 16.
Priyadarshi told reporters that this case has been very challenging for the CBI as no clue or eyewitness has been found so far.
Meanwhile, BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay, who had been questioned in the case recently, made efforts to clear the air.
“Writing a blog on entire episode and how a group methodically planned to subvert investigation and help shield killers of Shehla. Wait pl (sic),” he tweeted on the microblogging site Twitter.
The blog post titled Justice For Shehla began in second person, but went on to mention, “…the day Anna was arrested, 16th August, we spoke on phone in the morning at about 9.30am...”
The August 16 tweets of Vijay, however, find no mention of Masood. All the three tweets talk about graft and Lokpal. Masood’s name appeared in his tweets on September 1. Vijay could not be contacted.
