Intervening in a fight between two goons and a policeman cost an MBA student dear, as the goons stabbed him trice and escaped. The policeman also fled from the spot after he saw the altercation turning violent.

The incident occurred at Bhopal Talkies Square on Thursday. The victim, Mohammed Khalid, 22, a resident of New Kabadkhana, is pursuing MBA from a private college in the city. He had gone to offer namaz at a mosque.

In his statement to police, Khalid said he neither knows the policeman nor the goons.
