Bhopal: Employees of Bhopal Sahakari Dugdha Sangh staged a demonstration in front of Madhya Pradesh State Co-operative Dairy Federation on Friday to highlight their outstanding demands.

The employees said if their demands are not met, they would stop supply of milk packets to five cities including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior and Ujjain from July 28.

General secretary, Karamchari Congress, Adarsh Sharma said the employees are fed up with the indifferent attitude of the management of cooperative department.

Sharma said, “The workload on employees has increased substantially with increase in the demand of milk. However, the number of employees has decreased to a large extent. Similarly, the department is not regularising workers who have been working with the sangh for the past two decades.”

“Our demands include recruitment of employees, regularisation of contractual employees and payment of 63-month arrears under the 6th pay scale. We are also demanding a new set up in the sangh.”
