Addressing a massive rally at Samba in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lavished praise on development in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The Prime Minister said that Madhya Pradesh was once dubbed as a sick state. But it is now witnessing continuous all-round development under the leadership of Chouhan.

He further said that Madhya Pradesh, which lagged far behind in agriculture once upon a time, is now achieving 15 to 20 per cent agriculture growth rate.

"It is the result of Chouhan’s efforts to irrigate every field," the PM added.

The Prime Minister also said that as a result of these developments, more money was flowing to houses of farmers and the poor in the state.
