Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a surprise inspection of various places including Mauganj Community Health Centre in Rewa district and Nagaud Krishi Upaj Mandi in Satna district to get first hand information about their functioning.
After inspecting the Mauganj Community Health Centre on Sunday, the Chief Minister found irregularities in the Janani Suraksha Yojna as payment to the beneficiaries under the scheme was pending from February this year, an official release said in Bhopal on Monday.
Chouhan directed the Rewa Collector to probe the matter after seizing the record books containing information about the funds issued to the beneficiaries under it.
He also directed handing over the records of medicine distribution and Deendayal Antyodaya Upchar to the collector for probe and assured all possible help to the patients and common man.
Earlier, the Chief Minister made a surprise visit to the Mauganj Tehsil Headquarter and acquainted himself about the people's problems in ration distribution, demarcation, mutation and copy of khasra and ordered the commissioner to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Chouhan said that strict action would be taken if any official was found guilty in this regard.
The Chief Minister said a grievance redressal camp would be organised on Tuesday in which officials of various departments besides commissioner and collector would be present to sort out their problems.
Similarly, the Chief Minister made an abrupt inspection of Nagaud Krishi Upaj Mandi in Satna district and acquainted himself about the procurement of wheat and the rates at which it was being procured from farmers.
On receiving a number of complaints from farmers, Chouhan ordered the officials to seize record books of wheat purchasing by the Marketing Federation, the release added.
