MP floods kill 29 in three days, 106 villages affected

At least 29 persons were killed during last three days and about 40,000 people in 106 villages of six districts have been badly affected by floods in MP.

This monsoon, 114 people have died in the state. Though rains have receded in eastern MP and the water level in the Narmada has gone down, the river continues to be in spate in western MP where it continues to rain.

The army is out in Hoshangabad and Dewas while Air Force helicopters are dropping food packets in affected villages.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been holding multiple review meetings and conducting aerial surveys.
