MP: Property worth Rs 3.4 cr recovered from suspended CEO

A Special Police Establishment (Lokayukta) unearthed huge sum of money estimated at over Rs 3.40 crore from suspended CEO Shiv Kumar Shrivastava during search at A-85 BSF colony residence in Gwalior on Wednesday.

Shrivastava was arrested and suspended on corruption charges during his posing as CEO at Janpad Panchayat in Karera of Shivpuri district in 2014-15. During suspension, he was attached at Panchayat office in Ashok Nagar district headquarter.

DSP Lokayukt Dharamveer Bhadoria said on complaint and after its verification, a search was conducted at the residence of Shrivastava on Wednesday. “We have unearthed huge sum of money estimated at over Rs 3.4 crore besides a locker of Oriental Bank which will be operated on Thursday. Property details include one flat (at Anand Nagar) and one duplex house in Bhopal, one shop and one flat at Morar in Gwalior, four plots in Gwalior and the house at BSF colony,” Bhadoria said.

Besides Shrivastava also owns one house in Bhind, 17-18 property/registry papers, insurance policies (Rs 13.50 lakh) bank passbooks (saving deposits Rs 8-10 lakh)), 68 FDs, 3.20 lakh cash, 1.80 lakh worth gold/silver ornaments, 2 cars and one Activa two wheeler.
