Two more people including a woman were arrested on Monday for allegedly trying to sell a 26-year-old married woman of Julwaniya town. Till now, the police have arrested four accused in connection with the crime.

The Rajpur sub-divisional officer PS Baghel said the accused Pinky and her husband Vijay, residents of Karahi village in Khargone district, have been arrested from Kota in Rajasthan.

On March 13, Kaleem alias Kareem Khan and his live-in partner Durga Bai of Julwaniya had been arrested under sections of IPC 366, 367 (abduction) and IPC 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave).

The victim in her complaint said she got married to a person from Khargone, but he died due to excessive consumption of liquor.

Later she fell in love with Narendra Pawar of Julwaniya village and got married to him. The couple is having a 20-month-old daughter.

The couple use to quarrel often and Kaleem, who was a tenant in the same building, took advantage of situation. He convinced her that she was quite beautiful and deserved a much better person. He promised her that he would look for a rich groom who would take care of her baby.

On March 1, Kaleem and Durga Bai took the victim to Karahi village and showed to a broker Vijay and his wife Pinky. All of them along with the victim went to Indore and later on reached Kota.

The victim somehow came to know about their plan of selling her to an aged person. She threatened them to send her back or else she would expose them. On March 9, the accused brought her back to Indore from where she managed to call her husband.

Narendra, who had already lodged a missing complaint, immediately rushed to Indore with police and rescued her from Bhanwarkua area. SDOP Baghel said the accused would be produced before the court on Tuesday.
