After booking MP governor Ramnaresh Yadav in the Professional Examination Board (PEB) scam, the Special Task Force (STF) may soon question Union water resources minister Uma Bharti on her alleged role in contract teachers' recruitment scam in 2013, sources said on Wednesday.
STF sources claimed that it will have to submit a charge sheet in all 55 cases related to the PEB scams, being monitored by the high court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT), within six months. Persons, including Bharti, who are on STF radar will be questioned soon, sources added.
SIT Justice Chandresh Bhushan said the STF has promised that it would complete probing the 55 cases within six months. "The STF will question all those who are suspects in the scam," said Bhushan.
When asked whether Bharti would be questioned, he said, "I can't name any person who would be questioned by the investigation agency as it is confidential. But, I can assure you that action against all would be taken."
Bharti's name figured in the contract teachers' recruitment scam in 2012. Her name was mentioned in the summary of the FIR registered by the STF.
