Madhya Pradesh unit of the Youth Congress on Monday held a silent demonstration before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the premises of old Vidhan Sabha (Minto Hall) to protest the ‘pro-separatists and terrorists’ stance of the BJP and PDP government in Jammu & Kashmir.

Their protest came in wake of the decision of the alliance government in J&K to release Muslim League leader Masarrat Alam.

State president of the party Kunal Chaudhary said the alliance government in J&K had made its policies and plans clear before the country and has surrendered before the separatists and terrorists by deciding to release Alam.

Chaudhary said Alam was facing charges of sedition, war against nation and conspiracy. He said PM Narendra Modi should answer how he would ensure peace after releasing Alam.

He said Modi and J&K government should refrain from encouraging communalist and separatist forces, failing which the country might have to face dire situation.
