A total of 13 men and six bar dancers, who were part of a rave party organised at a popular resort in Bhopal’s Misrod area, were taken into custody by the police late Monday night.

According to the police, they received information about a rave party going on in Kanha Fun City, owned by Bablu Patidar. A raid was conducted around 2 am by the police at the resort.

The police found around 20 people dancing to loud music in an inebriated condition. They seized some liquor bottles and Rs 65,000 from the venue. No drugs were found from the spot, said additional superintendent of police (zone-2) Mayank Awasthi.

Nineteen people, including six bar dancers, who were called in from Mumbai for the party, were arrested on charges of obscenity under relevant sections of IPC. All the arrested men are white-collared professionals and aged between 35 and 45 years. They were later given bail on Tuesday.

Resort owner Bablu Patidar, who was present on the premises of the resort, managed to escape from the party during the raid.

In November 2013, police had arrested 27 youths and seized over 10 kg drugs, syringes, condoms and illegal booze from a rave party in Chunabhatti area of Bhopal.
