National symposium on safe blood in Bhopal from Nov 18 to 20

The 5th annual symposium of Indian Society of Transfusion Medicine on the subject “Safe Blood, Healthy India with each life providing drop” will be held here at Noor us Sabah hotel in Bhopal from November 18 to 20.
Giving this information secretary of the organizing committee Dr Manisha Shrivastava said the symposium would provide a platform to the participating doctors and students associated with blood bank to meet new experts of this field and take a proper guidance regarding safe storage of blood.
“It is our aim to make available proper blood to proper person all the time and to make success this aim this symposium is being organized. In this symposium various national and international delegates will express their views”, she said talking to news persons.
She said their aim was to how to keep blood safely and how to deliver it not only to the big cities but also to small towns and villages. All the specialists associated with blood banks, heads of all the departments and students were also invited to attend the symposium, she said.
She said professor JP Allen from Cambridge University, Dr Anup Chand from New Zealand, Dr Andreas from Germany and Dr Marina would be the main participants in the symposium.
Before this symposium a workshop will be held on November 17 at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) in which students will be educated on various techniques and important aspects of safe storage of blood.
