National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) members on Friday waved black flags to protest against governor Ramnaresh Yadav in front of Gyan Vigyan Bhawan of the Barkatullah University when the latter was on his way to attend the convocation ceremony of varsity.

NSUI members staged the protest against Yadav for his alleged involvement in the Vyapam scam and the appointment of his grandson as assistant professor at Barkatullah University. Black flags in hand, the workers also shouted slogans against the governor.

NSUI state spokesperson Vivek Tripathi said, “We protested against the governor as we don’t want him to preside over the function and distribute degrees to meritorious students. Yadav is facing allegations of his involvement in Vyapam and in the appointment of his grandson.”The police later reached the spot and the protesting NSUI members were arrested.
