Bhopal rail division now has a WhatsApp account where passengers can lodge complaints or give their suggestions regarding facilities provided by the railways. The WhatsApp account number is 9752416996.
Divisional railway manager Rajeev Choudhary started the WhatsApp account on Tuesday. According to railway officials, the WhatsApp account will be connected with a computer and all complaints and suggestions given by passengers will be uploaded on a central system.
The railway officials will redress the complaints and will also provide feedback to the complainants about the action taken.
Bhopal rail division PRO KK Dubey said, "This initivate will help us connect easily with passengers and look into their grievances."
This is the first such initiative taken by Indian Railways in the country.
