Several parts of the state, including Bhopal, witnessed rainfall on Friday evening. The weather office has said the cloudy rainy weather would continue for the next two days, mainly in northern and western parts of the state.
Some parts are also likely to witness hailstorm in the next 24 hours, said director regional Meteorological department A Kashyapi. But once the weather clears, fogging and drop in temperatures could be expected.
According to MeT office, there are chances that sky would clear out in south west Madhya Pradesh by Saturday afternoon. In central Madhya Pradesh thundershowers are expected in isolated places but entire system is expected to clear by Saturday.
According to the prediction of MeT office, the places which may witness hailstorm are Barwani, Barwaha and Manawar which may extend to western parts of the state i.e Indore, Rajgarh, Susner. Guna and its surrounding places may also witness hailstorm it has been predicted.
The MeT office said that a system under induced impact of western disturbance was prevailing over northwest Madhya Pradesh. Another system was present over Arabian Sea and the combined effect of these two was causing moisture incursion and consequent rain and thundershower activity.
Meanwhile, Bhopal and its surrounding places witnessed good rainfall on Friday evening which continued for considerable time. The sky was cloudy since Friday morning.
