Several programmes mark World Yoga Day in Bhopal

On the occasion of first International Day of Yoga several programmess of mass yoga were held in Bhopal.

Educational institutes, central and state government offices and offices of other organisations witnessed crowd since early morning on Sunday to practice yoga.

Bhopal division of West Central Railway division organised mass yoga programme at community hall of Railway Colony Habibganj.

Large number of railway employees of the division participated in the programme. Family members of railway employees also actively participated in the event.

On this occasion additional divisional railway manager (ADRM) Neeraj Kumar and many other senior officials of the division were present on this occasion.

Besides all the mass yoga practice was held at railway schools, training centres, hospitals and other offices of the division.

National Institute for Research in Environmental Health also conducted yoga session in institute premises on Sunday. On this occasion Dr Lokendra Dave of Gandhi Medical College (GMC) addressed the participants regarding benefits of practicing yoga daily.

A mass yoga programme was also held at Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. The programme was jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra and Youth Hostel Bhopal under which Yoga teacher of Yoga Art of Living organisation, Mariam taught yoga to the youngsters.

Regional Museum of Natural History also organised a symposium on yoga. On this occasion renowned yoga guru Phoolchand Jain addressed the participants and made them aware about relevance of yoga.

As many as 3000 army men and their family members participated in the mass yoga programme organised at 3 EME Centre, Bairagarh. Yoga programme was also held at Dronachal Core in which large number of army men participated.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) also organized yoga sessions for industries on the International Day of Yoga.

Representatives of Indian industry, including CEOs, employees and family members have rolled out their yoga mats to practice this ancient Indian exercise on Sunday morning.
