Akhil Bharatiya Swadesh Sangh members along with members of various organisations reached the bungalow of Uma Bharti at Shyamla Hills on Thursday to extend support for reconstructing Dhari Devi Mandir in Kedarnath. Sangh members, led by its national president Rajesh Porwal, said the natural calamity in Uttarakhand occurred because of ignoring spiritual powers and natural science.

Bharti said seeing the resentment of hundreds of sadhu-sants and local residents of Uttarakhand, she along with senior BJP leader LK Advani had conveyed their voice to President of India Pranab Mukherjee last month for keeping Dhari Devi Mandir safe.

Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley had also registered objection before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Bharti said the Central government did not pay attention to the matter and the idol of Dhari Devi was shifted, which became the cause of the natural disaster.
